After School Dance Classes

Jazz I (ages 6-7) Mondays at 4:00 p.m. -5:00 p.m.
This class begins to introduce students to the Jazz technique. The students will gain knowledge about basic steps of jazz with isolation, kicks, turns, stretching, coordination, and popular rhythm. Also, the students will learn a fun choreography where they can put together all their new movements.

Jazz II (ages 8-9) Mondays at 5:00 p.m. -6:00 p.m.
This class helps students to continue developing their Jazz skills. In this class, the students will be challenged with more difficult jazz movements. They will learn more complex combinations with a variety of music, in order to prepare them to participate in shows and performances.

Jazz III (ages 10-11) Mondays at 6:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m.
Students will learn more complex Jazz techniques with different movement dynamics and changes of directions. The students will be using more the space in elaborated combinations. Also, the students will be able to create their own choreographies with the guide of the instructors.

Flamenco I (ages 4-6) Wednesdays at 3:00-4:00 p.m.
This class introduces the students to the Flamenco dance. Thought creative tempo and rhythm games, the students will learn the proper techniques. Also, the students will learn proper postures and alignments.

Flamenco II (ages 7-8) Wednesdays at 4:00-5:00 p.m.
In this class the students will improve their Flamenco techniques trough more complex exercises. Also, they will be challenged with more difficult rhythms and steps in order to develop their artistic Flamenco movements.

Flamenco III (ages 9-12) Wednesdays at 5:00-6:00 p.m.
This class helps to the students to build confidence while muscles work burning calories, improving flexibility, strength, agility and postures. Students spend their evening dancing, meeting new friends and having fun. During the process of learning the steps, students challenge their brain with new information and connections.

Flamenco IV (ages 12-14) Wednesdays at 6:00-7:00 p.m. This class challenges the students with more complex Flamenco routines. They will learn the most important Sevillanas variations with the proper music and props. Also, they will keep developing their techniques and their creativity.

Hip Hop I (ages 4-6)  Thursdays at 4:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. or Saturdays at 10:30 a.m.- 11:30 a.m.
This class begins to introduce students to the Hip Hop technique. The students will gain knowledge about isolation, stretching, coordination, rhythm, and self-expression. Also, the students will learn a fun choreography where they can put together all their new movements.

Hip Hop II (ages 7-8)  Thursdays at 5:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. or Saturdays at 11:30 a.m.- 12:30 p.m.
This class prepares the students for social environments. The students will learn diverse steps and turns in an easy and fun way. It will benefit the students with self-confidence, grace, coordination, posture while they will discover social skills that will help them forever.

Hip Hop III (ages 9-12) Thursdays at 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. or Saturdays at 12:30 p.m.- 1:30 p.m.

Students will learn more complex Hip Hop steps with different movement dynamics and changes of directions. The students will be using more the space in elaborated combinations. Also, the students will be able to create their own choreographies with the guide of the instructors.

Teens Contemporary Dance (ages 13-15) Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
This Contemporary class will incorporate many of the foundations of modern dance technique, including suspension, fall and recovery from Doris Humphrey’s Technique, contraction and release from Martha Graham’s Technique, the use of momentum and connecting breath with movement from Merce Cunningham’s Technique. Students will explore new ways of moving in combinations and diverse methods of improvisation.
